The National Steinbeck Center, in Salinas, California, is a multipurpose facility honoring writer John Steinbeck and the Salinas Valley, the setting of his best-known works. Along with exhibitions, the Center is home to the Steinbeck Archival Collection, housing more than 45,000 items including first edition books and an extensive file of newspaper and magazine articles.
